Looks to me like he put them underneath the box. Good luck trying to top up the fluid in them.

Yes, they are lowered below the box. And no, its not about luck, there is a trap door built into the box to access the batteries. Also am going to maintenence free gell batteries when these are shot.

Nice mod but doesn't it interfere with torsion bar hook up? I didn't see the chain hook up bracket

No, it won't interfere with the brackets. I have an equalizer setup, and the bracket will fit between the propane tank mount tray and the toolbox. Had to trim the bottom edge of the propane shroud to allow it to drop down all the way. I will get some pics of the hitch all hooked up and repost.
