I am not an electrician.
I have a challenge where my battery disconnect is working fine to either turn on/off the 12v circuits in my coach. The interior lights and bathroom fan work fine when its on, but none of the other 12v circuits work (2 slides, awning motor, water pump). Neither is my Aircon working.
All my electrical circuits are factory layout (no modifications). I am busy renovating the interior due to previous water damage to the floor. All electricals were working fine up to a couple weeks back. The only thing that I had done was to unplug the battery disconnect switch and replug it to mount it on the new panel. Connections are correct. When I deactivate the battery disconnect (12v power should be on inside), the little light on the battery disconnect does not come on, normal interior lights do come on, but nothing else works on the interior 12v circuit.
What I have done so far:
1. I have tried this plugged into shore power, as well as a new battery (tested for correct voltage). I have tested the battery – good (12.46v).
2. Tested the converter and its putting out about 14v to the battery.
3. Tested the power to the slide controllers – both are getting power. Schwintek had a code 9 error, but not since reset. I even replaced both slide controllers (Schwintek and other).
4. Power to the main switch panel is correct – tank heatpad switch works; tank level monitors work; generator switches work to turn over the generator (has not started yet, but I was more focused on checking if current was getting to the panel and at least turning over the generator).
5. Tested the battery disconnect solenoid and I am getting voltage on both poles where it is required and both fuses are in working order.
6. Tested the auto-reset relay and it’s also putting out 12.46v on both poles.
7. All fuses on the power panel are working. Is there another fuse somewhere I am not aware of?
I am not an electrician at all, but I know how to use a multimeter. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
