2001 Jayco Designer 3150J Class C ??

I'm new to this forum. Just bought a new to me 2001 Jayco Designer 3150J Class C. Not really sure if I'm using the fresh water system properly?

In my old Class A, we used to turn on the fresh water pump when we are camping and not hooked up to city water. The pump would only run when we had a faucet open, or when we flushed the toilet.

On this Jayco Class C the pump runs all the time when switched on? Am I doing something wrong?

the winterizing valve is likely open. the only reason it isn't shutting off is it is getting air or there is a water leak

locate the pump and look around it for valves that are in the wrong position

is it pumping any water?

finally had more time to mess with it. I ran the pump for about 10 minutes and it started pumping water. Technician I talked to said it just had to prime it self.
