2011 pinnacle battery question

My brother ahs a 2011 pinnacle and he took the batterys home for the winter to keep them charged. He disconnected all the wires and forgot to mark them we are going back down friday and wanted to know the correct wiring.. Anyone have an idea would hate to short something out first day of the season....

If I remember correct black is positive and the white is negative but I think there are a few extra wires.. It is hard to remember 2 hours from the trailer...

Rob.. UNCROSS those wires... they MAY start rubbing as you go down the highway create a bare spot and short out your batteries... Yes I know not very likely to happen but better safe than sorry...

OK, my turn I guess. My wires are crossed and they are both white? Hmmmm! My battery boxes have been trimmed. Why?

These are Trojan T-105 six volt golf cart batteries and the wiring goes from + to - which is the reason for the crossing. I really doesn't matter which color you use I guess since the polarity is different on each end. The boxes had to be trimmed to get the batteries in since they are a bit taller than the standard battery.

Also note the battery cut off switch visible on top battery picture. Did they relocate this someplace else on the Pinnacle Rob? It was just about in the way using the T-105's due to the battery height.

One of the first things I corrected on mine was to install a piece of split rubber tubing to prevent the wires from rubbing on the metal shelf.

I just added a standard deep cycle battery to the one the dealer put in, the heaver Trojan 6 Volt batteries would probably be overkill for us.
We do not dry camp, only need battery power when setting up and if the power goes out for short periods.

Ed, the bean counters at Jayco deleted the Battery Shutoff Switch on the first Pinnacle models, so our Pinnacle does not have a Battery Shutoff Switch.
I think they have added it back now as a standard item.
I though about installing one, just have not got around to it.
