I am planing to add a powered vent to my 2013 321 RLTs. The vent has been pre wired with three wires two small gauge wires (red/blue and red/white) and a larger gauge white wire. The schematic from Jayco shows a line from the PV (powered vent) to a switch. I need to know where they located the switch on a factory installed fan so I can know where to look for the other end of the terminated wires.

I have a 2013 Eagle Premier 321 RLTS with a factory installed power vent fan in the galley area. The switch in my unit is located just to the left of the thermostat.

Remove the thermostat. Only 2 screws hold it to the wall. They typically have a 1 1/2 hole right behind it. You may be able to see the wire you are looking for.

I would like to know how you got the schematic from Jayco on a 2013 unit??? Every request I have sent to them comes back with since the unit is under warranty we cannot provide the requested documents. I have had several houses built and I would not consider building a house without being provided a set of all the plans!!!

I sent an email request using the Jayco website. I simply explained my project and asked for a schematic. Got a response the next day with a PDF. They sent me a schematic for the 12vdc wiring.

I have the 2013 351 RLTS and our fan is connected to a thermostat next to the AC/Furnace thermostat.

Can you provide more info or a pic on the thermostat for the fan? A separate thermostat would be a lot easier to access consider the ceiling height of the vent.

The 5th is at the storage lot so it'd be a while before I can get a pic. Our models are very similar in layout and in our floorplan both thermostats are just to the right of the sink. In your floorplan I'd estimate just over the right hand sink would be about the location.

I expect your fuse/converter is in the same location as mine (facing the door next to the steps up to the bath/bedroom) so the wires are probably routed down the same wall headed for the fuse box.

I expect our basements are pretty similar as well. You might be able to get a better idea of the routing by taking the back wall in the basement off and look at the wiring as it heads for the fuses. I've had mine off twice now and the biggest part of the job is taking all my "stuff" out, it's held in place with 8 or so those square drive screws that Jayco seems to be fond of.

The fan thermo is mechanical and an RV furnace type thermostat would probably work. I "think" my thermo is intended for use with a fan as it doesn't have any switches (off/on, fan/auto...), just the lever for selecting a temperature.
