I've got a Prodigy P2 brake controller, and turned all the way up to max, all I get is a moderate braking action when I throw the manual lever; I would have expected to lock up the wheels.

I got under the TT ready to adjust the brakes, but don't see any star wheel to adjust them. Are the brakes on the 2015 195RB self-adjusting?

Boost is set to b2 (per manual) and gain is set for maximum smoke. It might lock the wheels on gravel, but they still feel pretty puny to me - but then I have almost zero experience with electric brakes.

I have the same trailer and brake controller - the service rep at the dealership had setup a ton of these and suggested using B1 (boost 1) and adjusting the gain so that when the brakes are mashed (non moving) that it reads about 7.

I'm no expert and haven't changed any settings on mine - the manual lever does work fine and I can tell it's slowing progressively as needed. The manual for the P2 seems aggressive and the one time I had to mash the brakes for a rapid stop it felt "right" where the trailer had a slight tire squeal at first when slowing then they hooked up. Towing my rig for several hundred miles so far and like this setting (on the flats). This may have to be tweaked some more for mountains (downhill) IMO.

My 2004 and 2008 model trailers both have the star nut for adjusting the brake pads. All of that should be just like the standard brake adjustments. I adjust mine until the spinning of the wheel starts to drag then back off a tad.

My earlier truck also had the P2 brake controller and it was around 5-6 setting for my fifth wheel.
