New owner of a 2015 Eagle HT 27.5 RLTS.

Lots of questions coming as I begin to get to know the RV. Here are a few to get started.

1. The RV has three slides. All three are not smooth when beginning to move out. The entrance-side slide (dining table, entertainment, and fireplace) is the most noticeable when it starts moving. How smooth should the slides move?

2. The bedroom slide has a tone that sounds as it moves. The others do not have this tone. Is that normal?

3. The propane/carbon monoxide unit has been removed, and a new one is in the RV but not installed. Looking into the opening where the unit is installed does not show any obvious wires that would connect to the unit. The monitor has standard black and two red wires. The owners manual does not contain a wiring schematic. Am I looking for black and red wires, or are they some other color?

4. Is a wiring schematic available for this RV model?

General comment - the wiring in the cavity behind the detector looks like a rat's nest. It's just a wad of wires. Is this normal Jayco workmanship?

5. The owners manual mentions a remote for extending the slides. There is not a Jayco remote in the RV. How would I know if the unit has that option?

6. Is the power converter part of the fuse panel?

Thanks for any help.

Sam

Your slides may be 2 different types. Our 2017 HT 28.5 is. A lot of people complain about the Schwinteks. Ours have been okay. Got out of alignment once, but fairly easy to reset . This video explains a lot about the design and troubleshooting:
They may not be smooth as they start to extend if the weatherstripping is sticking to the sides. Get the proper lubricant for the seals (3 in 1 Brand: Item #12013) and tracks (CRC Power Lube. Not WD40 or anything that attracts grit) and wax the sides where the weatherstriping hits.
Rat's nest wiring? Welcome to manufacturing speed vs. quality. Not just the RV world.
If there is a remote, it should control the slides, jacks, outdoor lights. Possibly more. Can't remember. If you find it, the default PIN is 0000. Our charger cord was MIA. Replacement cord from the manufacturer was about $40. It's a standard type you can get elsewhere for about $12.

This is what they sent me for a schematic.

Thank you for the replies.

The video was informative. The presenter was a bit of a challenge to follow. I've done enough mechanical repair over the years, so I was able to understand what he was doing. As soon as the weather turns, I'll spend some time fiddling with the slides to see if I can get them to move a little smoother.

The schematic looks to be for a 50A RV. I have a 30A RV. Did you get that from Jayco?

I have the same model Eagle HT 27.5 rlts 2019. All three slides are different types, they work differently and sound different. My dinette slide gave me a lot of problems the entertainment center was a bit loose from the wall and the bouncing made the floor underneath sag. I repaired that and it has held up well. I also replaced my propane detector, 5 minute job, two wires red is positive black is ground. On mine positive was connected to a gray wire with a white stripe the black was connected to a WHITE ground wire. Actually any unswitched 12v positive you can tap into will work as will any ground wire. I took a photo I hope it helps. I don’t know why the ground was white. I couldn’t find a label for a specific circuit in the fuse box for propane detector

This is where the remote is supposed to be. If you have the bracket or some mounting holes in this area your remote may be missing.
