2016 36REQS On order as of yesterday

I would go onto the roof with the dealer and have them point out to you what the need is for sealing the roof. I am with you on keeping it clean with Dawn and maintaining seams etc. with Dicor or what is appropriate to use on your type of roof. Dealers who bring up issues like that have me buttoning my back pocket where I keep my billfold. It may be just having to spread something to coat your RV roof which I have never done or been aware of.

So I was going to have them repack the bearings for me since I am buried at work with zero time. Now that they are doing the brakes because of the axel seal leaking on all 4 wheel hubs, shouldn't that be part of putting it back together properly? Do you think I should be getting charged for this now?:help:

I can see the dealer charging you and thats fair if the price is right. To repack they have to clean out all old grease and repack with new grease, otherwise they can just replace the rear seal not removing the rear bearing and slide the front one back in and tighten back up.

I doubt they will actually repack the bearings unless you asked them to. It will depend on if the warranty replacement calls for a repack. If not and Jayco isn't paying for it, they probably won't do it and in reality, it probably isn't needed. I check mine every other year as I do about 3-3500 miles a year. I only pull the hubs to clean and adjust the brakes. As long as the seals are good and the spindle shows no issues, I just put a couple pumps of fresh grease in and call it a day. I do not flush all the old grease out as that will most likely blow the seals out.

Thanks for the responses. The dealer called me this afternoon and will be charging me to repack the bearings, otherwise they would just put them right back in how they are. It's ok since we got this in June 2015.
I'll keep you all posted.
