Maybe someone can save me some time and effort of pulling out my ladder, if you can tell me:

Does the Maxxair fan have the place to attach the 'easy clips' (on the outside, up on roof) for the Maxxair cover?

I have.a 2022 22rb. All the Feathers of that year come with one Maxxair fan in the main living area.

I'm trying to figure out if I'll need to buy the cover you attach with screws or the kind attached with the push pins/clips.

My 22 25rb has the spots for the clips

Good question, so from what I can decipher, the Maxxair vents need a cover with the brackets. The Maxxfan, Maxxfan Plus and Maxxfan Plus Low Profile all have a tab (loop?) on the upper flange for the Maxxair II cover with the pins. Here's the installation manual.

https://library.maxxair.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/10a11955z_fanmate-assy-install-for-755-855-955-models-legal-rev-a-11-2015.pdf

They don't spell out which ones do ar don't, so I peeked on their website for pictures.

Thank you so much! Ok, I feel confident I have a fan with the tabs.

Clips were there on my 2022 24BH. Five minute install tops. The cover will have a little “wiggle” to it but all good. I put the covers on the non Maxxfan too, drilled a couple holes and took about 10 minutes each. Well worth the time and effort.

Thanks cactus. I went ahead and bought one with the pin type (swept back look) for my one Maxxair fan in main living area. It came in mail, today. I have scoped out a few (new) of the drill on type on FB marketplace. I hate to buy new for them b/c I plan on eventually replacing the cheap fans in bedroom and bathroom with the better Maxxair fans. It’s so easy, but I dread digging out the screws from under the lap sealant…the toughest part of the swap job. :D

Got my fan cover for the actual Maxxair fan, but I forgot about the bug screen, so I'll wait to install that one.

I found a local, brand new Maxxair brand fan shroud, for typical vents, on FB Marketplace for $20. I picked it up, yesterday.

Today is a nice day, so I decided to ascend to the roof with my bag of tools to install this particular model, which requires drilling, nuts and bolts.

The job went pretty smooth, but it was tough reaching under the hinged cover from the hinged side to attach some of the washers and nuts. It was the only way I could approach it, as the fan is located toward the end of the camper roof (rear bathroom model) so, there was no room on the 'open' side of the cover, for me to sit.

While I was up there, I did confirm my Maxxair fan has the holes that accept the anchor pins, for the new cover, (waiting on the bug screen.) So, that install won't take 5 minutes once I get that screen.

Ours did and we put the cover on. Of course that was from ten years ago so I don’t know if they changed it. Good luck……

Yes. Just set the cover over the vent and you’ll see where the clips attache. Takes 5 seconds.

I just put 3 covers on my 23RK. Only one had the max fan. Wish the other 2 did.

. Me too. Maybe next summer. I want at least one more but can’t decide to swap out bedroom or bathroom. :)

I have one in bedroom. One in bath and one in the kitchen area. The kitchen fan in the maxfan. I doubt I’ll ever open the bedroom one. The covers I bought are black so it really helps block the light.
