First time using the AC in our new to us 166FBS. AC would trips the breaker after the compressor was on for a bit. Could be a minute, could be 15 minutes. We are hooked up to sore power at our seasonal site. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Do you have the standard 13kbtu or the optional 15Kbtu AC unit? What is the amp rating of the tripping breaker? 15 or 20?
Bare minimum, with no shore power, take the electrical panel cover off and tighten all the screws in the breakers and the bus bars. Loose connection at the breaker can cause overheating which trips the breaker.

I would check connections on the breaker or replace the 20a breaker as a precaution.

You have eliminate the easy things if you don't have a meter to measure the current draw.

Which one is tripping? Pretty sure they should both be on 20A breaker. Could be connected to the wrong breaker.
Send more info or what fixed the issue please.

Possibly. But it must match manufacturer and cat #.
I’m doubting it is the breaker though. How dirty are the coils of your AC? How many amps is it pulling while running?

A/C tripping breaker

My unit in 2018 Jayflight 29RLDS, the a/c wiring was spliced in the ceiling using a RV recept. The one where the wires snap in the back. Well it came apart. I ran a new wire to the unit. The box and recept. is still in the ceiling. Had to cut a hole in the back of my kitchen cabinet to fish it thru. Splice unexcessable is defiantly NEC violation. It was under warranty. No telling what kinda damage Camping World would have done to fix it. Have heard of screws being in electrical wiring causing problems. Anything is possible and expected.
