2023 Seneca 37K Tanks

I feel very stupid asking this, but maybe someone has experienced this. I recently upgraded from my Jayco 334 RLOK to a 2023 Jayco Seneca 37K. In every piece of literature about the tanks in the Seneca, 1 potable tank, 1 Grey tank, and one black tank is mentioned. When I took delivery I noticed there where more pull handles then needed for one Grey tank and there is a black tank selector next to the macerater. I asked the dealer and he confirmed there is 2 grey and 2 black tanks (as it shows on the firefly system). I can not find anything that tells me the individual capacities and I do not want to rely on firefly being correct. Any insights?

I saw that.. but then tank capacities listed in specifications I don't know is total or each. I find it hard to believe it is each cause that would mean I have 102 gallon Grey capacity. If total there is nothing indicating the tanks are equal in capacity (there by each tank is half listed in specifications).

We have an RB which also has 4 tanks and is similar to the K. We have 2 - 40 gallon greys and a 33 front black and a 23 rear black. No I would NOT rely on the tank sensors to show correct levels.

Yeh, that is why I have flow meter on my water connection. I check it once a day while in a park and guesstimate if the tank meters are correct. If is see 60 gallons came in, but tanks indicate only gone up a quarter.. I dump to be safe since those sensors are not accurate from the factory. I have seen where others have installed a different type of sensor external to the tanks, and they get good reviews, but you need your capacities to calibrate them.

Many, including myself have installed SeeLevel gauges on our tanks and they are very accurate. I even used a flow meter after installation and noted how many gallons were added at what percentage reading on the SeeLevel panel. You don’t need to know the size of the tank at all to add the SeeLevel system. The only issue with a 5 tanks system is they done make a panel for that many tanks, just a fresh, black and grey. I had to add a second panel in the rear bath for the rear two tanks and I can also read the fresh in either place.

thanks. This gives me a starting point. Since mine came pre-installed with stacked washer and dryer was wondering if the rear grey tank is larger then the front ( rear tank would be the shower also). The half bath I imagine is on the front tank. I will do some tests to confirm when I sanitize the potable tank.

Thanks with the input. I was looking at this modification with my old camper. Now I am looking to do it with my new Seneca. I may hit you up later for some lessons learned later. Just booked up coming seasons trips so will see how it is stock first.

2023 Seneca 37K holding tank capacities

I had the same question about the tanks in my 2023 Seneca 37K. I contacted Jayco customer service; they replied the following:

FRESH TANK 72 GALLONS
GREY TANK 51 GALLONS 40 GALLONS
BLACK TANK 40 GALLONS 23 GALLONS

They didn't specify front or rear but I know my rear black tank has less capacity than the front black tank - so my assumption is: 40 front, 23 rear. I think its same with the grey tanks - larger one in front.

Thanks.. been asking around and that seems to be the concensus.. It is disappointing a little since I figure the washer would be plumbed to the rear tank.. which is the smallest. Will find definitely in April when I open it up for the season.

Unfortunately the washer does fill the smaller tank rather quickly especially with the shower. The front tank takes a lot longer to fill since it only has sinks going to it. Would have definitely been a lot better having washer going to that one but there are plenty of other under engineered things to go along with that as I’ve found out in two years of ownership.
