I purchased a 2024 Jay Feather 21 MML in OCT 2023. I took it in to have some minor warranty work in JAN 2024. During the walk around, the service manager noticed some “cracks” on the front cap. The
fylon cap was replaced and about a month after replacement, I noticed the same “cracking” on the new cap. Jayco is slow walking approval of another replacement. The Jayco dealer told me they now have 10 new Jayco’s with cracked caps awaiting replacements. Any one else on the forum having the same issue??
Thanks! - Mike

No, but I have a 2025 21MML and that makes me nervous. Where are the cracks located on the cap?

Are the caps cracking consistently in the same area?

We went through this with a 2024 21mml in the spring. First they tried to make a new front wall but as soon as they pullet it out in the sun it bubbled. Next they had a new front shipped from factory and its been looking good, but i have not looked really close it in some time.

On the 21mml its not really a formed fiberglass cap, its fiberglass over some backer they bend over the front. Mine was cracked below the clearance lights area if i recall. There actualy was a kink or crease in the fiberglass

Thanks, TowPro. I'll be looking over mine real close. It's nice to know where to start.

I have attached 3 photos of the front cap "cracks". The areas taped off have the bulk of the cracks however; there are cracks all across the cap.

the crack others are talking about is where the whole front has a bend that cracks open when they install it from top to bottom.

the crack others are talking about is where the whole front has a bend that cracks open when they install it from top to bottom. And since this forum decided they only want picture from sites with https on them, and I don't feel like spending $200 bucks to post a picture here, your going to have to cut and paste the URL below and remove the S from https on the front.

you can see 4 cracks in the below picture if you click on the larger one.

or

It is just a matter of knowing how to post pics. Save them locally first then post them here using the "manage attachments" option. ~CA
