Jayco EPIC FAILURE! Jayco REFUSES to replace their MISTAKE! They put a sewer hose holder that barely holds a 5’ Sewer Hose and when that was pointed out they Said So Sad To Bad, WE AIN’T FIXING IT!!! I had to purchase and pay to have installed a new holder that went across under frame that holds a 10’ sewer hose on my BRAND NEW SWIFT 29T! THIS WAS AN EPIC FAILURE BY JAYCO TO SHOW THEY CARED ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS! ONCE THEY HAD MY MONEY THEY DIDN’T CARE ANYMORE! SHAME ON THEM!

I was able to find a 10 ft hose that collapsed down to give me enough room to put the collar for the dump station in as well.sorry I can’t seem to figure out how to post a picture or I would.

To OP, I have a Ethos 20T and probably have the same sewer hose holder. If your RV waste water pipe outlet is located behind the driver side rear tire you should be able to get by with a short sewer hose. Rarely or never need for a longer one. Dump inlets (dump station, rv parks, campsites) are easily accessible with short hoses when the waste water pipe outlet are on this location. Like the above poster I have a sewer that collapses to two feet and it slinkies out to close to 10 ft. Fits in the holder.

The long sewer hoses, as far as I have seen being used at campsites and RV parks are mostly class As, Cs (super Cs) that have their waste water pipe outlet in another location. Usually I see them in the middle of their RV. When they pull in and max out the slot at a campsite or RV park. They will still be able to reach the dump inlet located by the pedestal by using a longer sewer hose.

With that said those class As and Cs should also have a short one like mine and the poster above that collapses so when they use dumps stations they can just pull up with their waste water pipe directly adjacent to the dump inlet. Instead of having to use the long sewer hose.

Does that make sense? Where is your waste water pipe outlet located at if I may ask?

I'm trying to look up swift 29T and can only find 20T. You will rarely ever need a longer sewer hose bro. Unless you do plan on parking much farther away from the dump inlets at RV parks and campsites.

It's a design flaw, yes. Tell me what manufacturer is going to redesign anything and then do for free.
I have the same issue and did the same server hose holder install myself. I don't care what unit you buy. You're going to have design flaws. Any changes your going to have to be proactive and update it yourself.

Look thru the Camco site at the Rhino hoses. They do list the extended and closed length. I think i also bought the same as above although it seems longer than 5ft extended. I might have problems connected at the campsite, but I only empty when I leave. Sometimes that requires me to move closer, or to use the campsites main dump station elsewhere. Not really a problem with these manueverable vans.

I have the same issue with a 2022 swift. What brand hose did you find that fits into the 26 inches I have available?
This is the one I used. I mounted it east and west, right behind the exhaust heat shield. Screwed it into the heat shield and used the hose clamps that came with it in the other side, around the bracket for the side step.

Like I mentioned in my post class b doesn't need a long sewer hose because of the location of the sewer outlet. You can camp real nice where the pedestal with dump inlet is right conveniently there. To each his own. So far I never once needed a long one. I guess it's good to have if you have storage space I don't. The class a and c need one because the location of their outlet varies and when they park at campsites they max out so they need a longer one. My opinion thought

I learned better to have more than less. I had a class C and the outlets are in the same position as the Van. That said, there were multiple times I Used the entire length. Also, If I am parked for a few days, I sometimes hook up to the sewer so I can dump multiple times during my stay. With a short hose I would have to break down to do it.
If it fits with no added intrusion or taking of space, I see no reason not to.
It's like having multiple plug adapters. You may never need them but when you do it nice to have them.

This is the exact one I have because I bought it here. They don't have this one on the camco website for some reason maybe rhino has a website.

Did your rig come with HB house batteries? They are installed underneath in the open air in front of the rear axle.

Surprised your unit did not come with the storage tube. Unfortunate for me, my ETHOS 20D has two drains due to the floorplan - drain for shower grey tank1, and drain for kitchen grey tank2 and black tank. So, for convenience when hooked-up, I run two 10' hoses to a "Y" adapter-->elbow adapter. For storing extra hose, I mounted an additional storage tube next to the one that came with my unit. I posted my project here -->

How does a 10 ft hose fit in such a short tube. I have the 20T and uses the same tube.

Wow. Never woulda thunk it
Thanks. I'm keeping it in my Amazon wish list for the future.
