New 2025 seismic been full time in northern Ohio since Nov. 24 for the winter. Been having random furnace over heating problem. When it happens able to power off and on to reset (after cool down). Because I have skirting up I took the furnace to the dealer for testing and there was no problem found. Scheduled appt. for April for service. Another problem is inside duct exit temp. is at times 120 Deg. and basement temp is 80-90 deg. I have the HVAC drawing and best I can tell is that there may be missing duct work. Any other 2025 owners having any problems? This is the first year for no floor ducting.

The "Bob Villa" I bought my house from had gotten a deal on a furnace that was to large.
Added some more ducts/vents to let it breathe. No more overheating.

We have a 2024 Seismic which had a similar issue. I found one of the duct headers (there are 5 or 6 of them) had disconnected from the furnace plenum, allowing the heated air to immediately return to the furnace intake and shut the furnace down after a short time with the high limit switch. The duct headers attach using a crappy twist connection. It is loose and anything but secure. Bent the retaining flaps to tighten the connection and then used aluminum duct tape to better secure the headers. This resolved our issue. I did the work myself, rather than rely on the dealer. Good luck!

Already did the silver tape to seal the furnace connection. Just had the furnace back to the dealer for a bad motor. They replaced the motor and the board. Getting better air flow now. Going in for service late April. We'll see if they find anything else.

Just curious - how many ducts come off the plenum with the no floor duct system? Our 2024 had 5 or 6.

3 to the rear and 2 to the front. Are you able to see how the heat gets into the enclosed under belly?

Our rig is not at our house so I can't get any pictures until next week. As I recall, there is a duct or two to goes into the rectangular duct that extends forward and rearward. This duct has registers into the underbelly as well as upward into the living areas. Next week, I can verify

3 to the rear 2 to the front 1 vent in each storage compartment but nothing to send heat to where the tanks are.

Only issue I’ve had with our furnace on our 2025 Seismic is, I barely feel any air flow in our bedroom vent and the duct in my smaller storage compartment was so hot that it actually melted/warped the plastic vent. I just removed it and threw it away. Still not much air flow to bedroom though. Shouldn’t we have multiple fan setting speeds for the furnace?

Same here with the air flow and melted vent. Dealer swapped out the vent but I have the hole covered with foil tape. I go in to the dealer in a week or so. Just had the furnace at the dealer(I pulled it out) they replaced a bad motor and the board, getting a little better air flow but not much. Check your duct temp. Front bath will burn your toes off, fireplace vent is over 125 deg at times and storage bay with the melted vent is 80-90 deg. I'll see what the dealer finds.
