After 2 years of owning and enjoying our 2015 23RB, I believe we are close to being done with our "To Do List!" At this very moment, I can only think of two more things I want/need to do and that is mount our guitar and ukulele hooks somewhere and make a drop down shelf for the side of the couch.

I thought it would be nice to take a moment and post some pictures of our mods and a few of the gadgets that work for us. I also want to thank everyone who contributes to this forum because a lot of our ideas and decisions on certain things were made from reading your comments or looking at your pictures.

My DH sawed a hole in the bathroom closet to make me a clothes hamper.

Looking into the clothes hamper with the storage door open underneath just for some light so I could take a better picture.

Stacked two plastic storage drawer units on top of one another for better use of the deep closet space.

Hung a hand towel ring.
IMG_6906.jpg

For traveling purpose only, we use an expandable curtain rod along with packaging bubbles to keep items in the medicine cabinet upright.
IMG_6901.jpg

Purchased two Pop A Toothbrush holders instead of having a toothbrush holder on the countertop.
IMG_6902.jpg

Put up hooks for wet towels and also had to use a door stop so the closet door would not hit the hooks.

Just installed the Oxygenics shower head yesterday and can't wait to try it out tomorrow. Also, you can see the expandable shower rod that we use in the shower to dry wet items.

Curved plastic tub/shower guard.

We use Command Hooks all over the camper.

Double Command Hook used as a razor holder.

DH wanted speakers in the bathroom, so he mounted them on both sides of the sink cabinet.
IMG_6910.jpg

In this photo you can see we use Command Hooks for the pot holders and as storage for the sink covers along the side wall next to the stove. I would like to point out the space we opened above the microwave for my frying pans. I am using a candle sleeve as a utensil holder due to the space being very narrow behind the cooktop. Also, mounted a paper towel holder on the vent top.

Spice rack above the window and shelves in the overhead cabinets.
IMG_6916.JPG

Mounted Command Hooks under the kitchen sink on the cabinet door to hang my cutting boards and storage basket for cleaning items. Also, I use a magazine rack attached to the side wall with Velcro to store my kitchen wrap and storage baggies.
IMG_6931.jpg

We made a fold down shelf to use as additional counter space or table when sitting on the couch.
IMG_6932.jpg

Picture of the shelf when not in use.
IMG_6949.jpg

Added hinges and a door knob on the panel under the refrigerator for easier access.
IMG_6915 (1).JPG

Added a basket in the space above the stereo to hold dvd's, our iPod and wires for hookup.
IMG_6913.jpg

This wasn't anything major but it really added much needed space. We moved the center divider under the couch about 5" closer to the ducting so we could store our fold up table under there.

Purchased a blackout curtain from Walmart, cut it up and made room darkener curtains for the windows.
IMG_6927.jpg

Used a piece of the blackout curtain to cover the skylight on extremely hot days.
IMG_6929.jpg

Installed a Closetmaid cabinet to store our shoes. If you look to the left of the cabinet you will see a dimmer switch, which is connected to the lamp, so we no longer have to walk into a dark trailer. We also mounted a push bar on the screen door.
IMG_6922.jpg

I found the perfect trash can at Lowe's. It is very narrow and not in the way when walking into the bedroom.
IMG_6918.jpg

Added coat hooks to the left of the door.
IMG_6917.jpg

In the bedroom we hung a tv and a shelf above the tv to hold a dvd player. Also, mounted a mirror next to the window and hung the broom and dustpan using Command Hooks.
IMG_6924.jpg

I purchased 2 single plastic storage drawer units to use on both sides of the bed.
IMG_6928.JPG

Installed wire shelving in both bedroom closets.
IMG_6951.jpg

Using 2 eye hooks and a bungee cord I was able to store my tabletop ironing board under the bed.
IMG_6946.JPG

Cut and mounted a hanging shoe bag under the bed using industrial Velcro.

2 thumbs up for your mods. Peggy really likes the laundry shoot. Guess I know whats next for me to make:D

Used 2x4's to support the center of the bed.
IMG_6952.JPG

We just installed the Alfa AWUS036NH 802.11n Wireless USB Wi-Fi Adapter and R36 3G & Wifi USB extender.
IMG_6930.JPG

On the roof we mounted the Winegard Wingman and just sitting in our driveway we picked up 8 more tv stations. Not pictured is the MaxxAir 2 vent cover over the bathroom fan.
IMG_6938.jpg

Made a drying rack using PVC.
IMG_6939.jpg

Installed bug covers over all the openings.
IMG_6942.jpg

Nothing beats the Andersen Levelers! I would have to say that they are totally worth the $$$!!

WOW! Excellent job on all the mods! How long did it take you guys to get all of that done?

A few of the mods were done within a few months after bringing it home. Things like the hamper, bed support, Closetmaid cabinet, space above the microwave, the extra hooks and everything in the bedroom were done so we could be comfortable on a planned 4 week vacation. The husband and I are retired and unfortunately for him, I am always looking for new ideas.

Vince, can I ask how you hung the mirror? I have been wanting to put one up.
Thanks for any help you can offer!

We used 6 mirror mounting hardware that I picked up at Lowe's in the Home Décor department by the wall mirrors. I used two on each side except for the left side due to it being so close to the wall.

Made a fruit and vegetable basket this week using 2 baskets from the Dollar Tree and some chain that we had. As you can see in the picture, the weight was no problem for the hook in the bottom of the cabinet.

One other mod this week that was badly needed was to find a place to hang my husbands parlor guitar. Placing it above the window in the bedroom area made it an out of the way place that never needs moved unless to be played.

Thanks!

Thanks for sharing your mods.

Our 23RB has incorporated similar mods.

Our best mod was the digital thermostat or was it the battery disconnect switch on the battery box?

Where did you get your shoe caddy that is mounted to your bed?
Thanks

Also have the 23rb and opened up the cabinet above the microwave, but there's no "shelf" over the microwave to store anything. What did you do to this space to make it useable?
