We have a 2020 model Jayco 34RSBS travel trailer camper. This last year out of the blue our electrical outlet behind the TV in the living room quit working along with the outlet in the exterior panel that the fridge is plugged into and then the outlet next to the stovetop. These are all 3 outlets pertaining to the one slide out section. These power tongue jack also will not operate, however the light in the jack powers on and off, just fine, so there is power going to it so it would not be a fuse or loose wire. We talked with the techs at the place we bought the camper from and they seemed a bit baffled by it as well thinking it was a fuse or the nuts on the front cables maybe came loose. We switched out the exterior panel outlet with the fridge on it with a new outlet and it didn’t work. These wires looked fine upon inspection. The fridge works when on propane mode or ran with an extension cord to another outlet. There are outlets right next to the ones that aren’t working that work just fine. We got the diagram for the electrical for our model camper but it’s a little hard to decipher as the outlets aren’t always where the map shows they are. Also we noticed that the outlets that should be CGFI outlets are just your normal outlet, like the one by the kitchen sink and the exterior outlets. Could this be a Jayco factory oops that’s now causing issues somehow? Does anyone have any idea on what the issue with these outlets and power tongue jack be?

Welcome to the forum.
Regarding the receptacles being an oops by Jayco, I don’t think so. They are most likely fed by a GFCI receptacle.
Now for your receptacles in your slide out. If they stopped working at different times, did you check all of them for bad connections in the back? RV receptacles are usually junk and can conductors can disconnect.
If the three that are out are all of them in the slide, then start looking for where the junction box is (usually on the floor under a cabinet) that is used to get power from the chassis to the slideout. Possibly there could be a bad connection.
Dumb question! You did check all circuit breakers by turning them off and back on, correct?

Hey Kevin, thank you for your reply. We did replace the receptacle in the exterior cabinet that the fridge plugs into, even though the wiring looked fine, and that still didn’t fix the issue, we looked at the wiring to the receptacle behind the TV and that all seemed fine. We did not check the one behind the stove yet though. All 3 receptacles that do not work are on the same slide out in kitchen/living room area that the TV, Fridge, and stove are all located on. We were told by the tech’s to check the cgfi receptacle on the nearest the island with the kitchen sink on it and we looked at that outlet however it is not a cgfi, and worked just fine. The only cgfi outlet we can locate is next to the sink in the bathroom. We tested the fuses in the main box inside and they all are fine. Do you happen to know where the junction box for that slide out would happen to be located at on a 2020 Jayco 34RSBS? It seems it should be a simple fix beings the 3 outlets not working are all near each other and all on the same slide out but even the techs at the place we bought it at seemed baffled by it over the phone. Any further help would be great. Unfortunately the camper is at our lake cabin so we cannot test things currently unless we go there which is a 1 1/2 hr drive away.

I have only Class A rv experience. In our Alante, there is a GFCI breaker in the electrical panel. Next to the breaker trip handle there is a button. You must have power to the panel and the breaker turned on to reset the GFCI. Verify voltage to every receptacle in and outside the RV. You might find some more.
If no more are found, then it is possible it’s a bad connection inside the junction box. Get inside the cabinets, pull out the drawers, remove any panels that have screws to find the box. With power off to the RV, check the splices within the box.
Best wishes!

Do you have solar panels and a factory installed inverter? On our trailer the TV outlet and the outside fridge outlet are inverter outlets. Different models may have different outlets fed from the inverter. Our two outlets next to our bed are also inverter fed outlets. Maybe this will give you a direction to go.

To troubleshoot this I would open the breaker that feeds power to the receptacles that are dead and then identify all of the other receptacles on this same circuit that now also don't have power. There's a good chance that one of the receptacles that works when powered up but has a loose wire on it and is not feeding onward power to the dead receptacles. If any of the wires on these receptacles are stuck into those little holes in the back, remove the wire and wrap it around the screws on the sides. These back stabbed holes are the cause of lots of loose connections. If there's more than four wires on the receptacle then pigtail the wires. Check the connections in the box of all of the wires under wire nuts as well. It'll be like finding a needle in a haystack depending on how many other devices are on this circuit, but you'll find it. Let us know how it goes.
