Neither my husbands large hands, nor my arthritic ones, could easily turn the shut off valve to the refrigerator water supply. It’s accessed behind an upper drawer which meant kneeling down, getting the flashlight on it, then trying to turn it without being able to get a decent grip. DH ordered a 4” plastic hatch, then installed it next to the valve, on the opposite side of the island. The island wall was easily cut with a utility knife, it’s only an 1/8” thick MDF. I painted the hatch and we now have easy access.
