This upcoming summer we are going to be doing some dry camping in southern Colorado at USFS campgrounds and I have a question about the gray tanks. Since the rear tank that has the shower is smaller than front gray tank that only has the kitchen sink and half bath sink (makes no sense) is it possible to have both tank valves open so they can “combine”? Just wondering since we won’t be near a dump station (luckily there are water spigots for fresh water) and I’m pretty sure the rear tank will fill up quickly even if we take quick showers.

Thanks!

If you use one of these it should work as long as both tanks are about the same level.

The tanks are fairly close to same level, but our Accolade has the macerator with a shut off valve for a regular sewer hose so not sure about needing another shut off valve

Before the sensors in the rear gray tank got gummed up, we figured out that we can do 4 showers before that tank is full, plus misc hand washing in the sink. Now that it reads full all the time we just count showers, drain at 3-4. Some folks have installed a ball valve in the macerator hose, if you did that, theoretically you could open both the gray dumps and combine the capacity.
