With my 25RB it’s a 50amp service, I’m trying to come up with ideas for the cord storage as I’m limited to space, found this reel on Amazon that’s designed for the cord storage, I also found moryde reel but those are expensive!!!, just wondering if anyone here has any suggestions? Here is what I found.

With your sized TT I would personally not attempt to use those cord storage units. The amount of wasted room for the limited amount of storage room does not make it worth the effort. While the weight is my key issue with just the cord too, you would still have to deal with getting the unit off or wrestling with trying to roll and unroll it up.

Of course I have seen this discussed many times and for our sized units I could not find an easy way to deal with those roll up cord configurations. I just patiently lay the cord out after unplugging it , sometimes on a picnic table and work my way to rolling it up neatly and tightly as possible similar to my water hoses.

The tighter your roll it the easier it is to manage it in my storage locker or in the bed of the truck. Then in reverse I just lay it back on the ground and pull the end to plug into the camper as close to the power pole first.

I bought the MORryde reel a couple of years ago. It takes up very little room, makes winding my 50amp cord a breeze, even in the coldest weather. It winds up tighter than I could ever do by hand. It is well worth the money. The one in your photo looks pretty flimsy...looks more like it's made for a water hose. You get what you pay for...if the MORryde will fit , buy it. You won't regret it.

How secured is that reel?

It's secured by a screw in each corner, 4 in all, into the wood floor. It's never moved since it was installed. My 50 amp cord is about 30 feet long. Before I had the reel I would throw the cord in the back of my truck.

I'm just wondering, what year is your 25RB? I'm assuming it's a Jay Feather. I ask because I have a 2022 Jay Feather 25RB and mine is a 30-amp system, not 50.

I just looked and the 2025's have the option of a 2nd A/C unit which would then require the 50-amp system. I have answered my own question if you have a 2025.

It’s a 2022 with a 2nd ac
Thanks for your reply. We purchased my off the dealer lot in 2022. I didn't realize even then it was an option for a second A/C unit. We utilize a small clip fan to add air movement to the bedroom area which works well.

Well I guess I can’t complain then!, you’re definitely colder than me!, it’s like 25deg without the windchill, but I leave next Friday for the Caribbean
We leave in a few days as well. Heading to Florida to visit my brother in law. Then head south to visit the national parks in southern Florida.
