5th wheel height

It was a standard size. Now I’m kicking myself for not trying to negotiate with Jayco first. Ugg!

That sucks! The low profile unit is about half the height. I special special ordered my unit with a bedroom low profile unit on my Eagle. Last I heard they won't do that anymore.

My Eagle HT 26.5 RLDS is 12'7-1/2" per Jayco specs (phone call to Jayco). I have the full sized 2nd AC in BR and 16" GY Endurance tires.
Fiver sits on small slope in driveway now but I will measure when all is level to verify Jayco specs.
As long as it's under 13'1" I'm okay, so I can get thru the tunnel on highway 9, east of Zion NP, later this month.

Happy RVing,
Jeff

Just measured my 2019 North Point 377RLBH.

Level not hooked to truck: 13’ 11”
Hooked to truck: 13’ 6”

The highest point is my vent cover on the bathroom fan.

You are maxed out. Can't add any height to that suspension.

I’ll remeasure after the new springs. I might have to drill new holes in the spring hangers and lower it.
Otherwise I’ll have to take the vent covers off they are higher than the AC’s by a couple of inches.

What vent covers do you have??

I think mine are also higher than AC's. I have 2 Fantastic Vent covers. I need to measure and double check them...........

Maxxair fannate cover on the bathroom and kitchen vent. Maxxair cover on the loft vent. The bathroom vent cover is the highest part.

I installed a maxxair deluxe vent. It's a vent and cover in one. It's lower profile then a standard vent with a cover. The cover raises and lowers as you open and close it.

My trailer is not over height when level.

When towing it is. High side rails on F250 means that I am about 5" nose high when towing.

I am not worried about it. I do pay attention to highway overpass warning signs and I have re routed a couple of times. My GPS is set to warn of less than 14ft clearance.

I contacted Jayco Customer Service direct, my dealer was useless and would not help me.

I'll try to explain this better. The Jayco specs lists the camper with only 1 Air Conditioner. There is fine print somewhere that lists it with the 2nd AC at 162", but it does not say if it is a low profile unit or not.

I measured mine level on pavement, and it was 165 (13' 9") with a regular size 2nd AC unit. I then measured it hooked up with little change.

My Eagle was only 2 months old. After some phone tag and sending pics, they talked to their engineering department and the lady told me that the engineers said that my 2018 355MBQS is supposed to have a low profile on it. They contacted a company in Myrtle Beach and swapped the AC for free.

I will add, my 2018 355MBQS has bigger Goodyear tires (ST235/85-16) on it from the factory and I've noticed that other model year Eagles do not. Do your research and be prepared before you contact them.

The 162" is for the standard height second ac. The Eagle line doesn't use the low profile units nor is it an option. When I ordered my 2017 Eagle 293RKDS, the factory was sweet talked into installing a low profile unit for the bedroom. It cost me 500.00 on top of the option cost of 849.00. That's why I only did the bedroom unit. I should of spent another 500 on the main unit too. A guy on this forum tried to get his unit built the same way but the factory said no. So I was the last person they did it for. Maybe the only one?? They also installed the rear electric stabilizers when my unit had auto leveling. Standard without auto leveling, deleted and not an option on auto leveling. I also got them to throw in a keyed alike lock cylinder for the auto leveling control access door. This all happened during to working with a great salesman and dealership. My salesman wasn't afraid to contact his rep or the factory to get me information or to special special order those items as mentioned.
