This is one of those, file in back of your head in case you encounter this someday. Our Pinnacle has 3 AC units, with #2 handling bedroom and bathroom duties. My wife likes to pretend she's in the north pole and sets the thermostat to 68F along with a fan on the dresser in front of the bed for noise and additional COLD air. Me and our two toy poodles freeze, but that is another story. Last night, she said it was warmer than usual, and indeed the thermostat on the BMPRO tablet said it was 77F when going to bed, while set to 68F with the other two units reading 70F. At night, the one AC unit will cool the entire camper to the selected temp, the other two set at 70-71F never run. Once the selected temp is reached, it cycles on and off as needed. I tried to overlook the temp differential and went to sleep. Of course, I was awake throughout the night a few times thinking about this and possible issues. The air out of the vents was nice and cold, yet at 4AM, the thermostat was still showing 73F while set to 68F. The other two AC unit's thermostats were showing 69F, which is typical, so I was pretty certain it was working properly. I then thought about the sensor for the thermostat on the wall in the bedroom,. The other two units have their sensors side by side in the family room/kitchen. I was stumped at this point, and for some unknown reason, I got up and went in the bathroom and found the bathroom vent wide open with the fan running!!! This is a running disagreement between us, yes maybe you should open it when taking showers, but I don't think the moisture created is enough to cause harm, specially with 3 AC units running. The fan is very quite, makes almost no noise at all, so she forgot to close the vent and turn fan off. I am waiting for her to wake up so I can have some fun with this before telling her it was HER fault lol, and not mine. Yesterday, driving through the campground looking for a different spot she booked us for next year, and she says that is the spot, lets say #51 she had booked, but I was reading #56 on the spot. Eventually she relented and agreed I was right but quickly reminded me I confused her and it was MY fault

Been married for 43 yrs. Clearly states on page one of the manual, it's always my fault. May take a while to connect the dots but it ends up as my fault in the end. Just the way it works.

snip...

Now you have me wondering if your wife and mine are related.:D:D

LOl, I firmly believe all ladies are related. Will be 46 for us in October and I missed reading the manual although she has clearly instructed me on its contents.

It’s going to be 47 for us in Nov. You guys are correct in that we are always wrong! It happens more each year. But what you didn’t mention was after the deed of being wrong has been pointed out, you must with a straight blank face, bow your head as los as your stiff neck will allow and in a low soft voice say, “I’m sorry”.

I would like to know if ANY husband has ever actually laid eyes on this "manual" that wives refer to. I have my doubts it really is in print....

47 years already (August 1977) and can't remember if I've ever been right. If I thought I was I was I definitely errored.

Our 36FBTS came with two A/C units and I installed the third (heat pump). We have a similar temp issue in thd bedroom. It's always hotter up there than in the living room area. If it's hot outside at night I will sometimes run the fan on the middle unit on low just to help keep some of the cold air pushed "upstairs". We also have to have the fan on the dresser blowing on the bed, spring, summer and fall.

We must be married to the same woman lol.

LOL! I needed this thread this morning. Experts can claim that each one of us have specific DNA. But there is an undeniable fact that every single married woman have a way of obtaining the same gene thru all marriage licenses. You heard it first, as reflected by these comments. Yep, the ongoing ac temperature setting , whether you are in the house or the rv.

Of course in most rvs you really cannot control a more steady ambient temperature to please your wife and make her happy. Accept this my virtual friends. I live by the rule that wimmin have many faults, men but two, everything they say and everything they do.

And be careful what you say, some wimmin have a way of looking over our shoulders. So in the extreme times, keep your health insurance premiums up to date. Urgent care may be in your future.

I guess I am a lucky man!
My wife and I just celebrated 47 in August and we both like it cold!
We bought the 31XL in Texas in 2018 and immediately installed a 13.5K a/c in the bedroom where the vent hatch was with a separate plug in circuit. We usually get it down to 63 degrees!
Best investment we ever made.

44 years and counting! This theory also works with floor heaters. Every time I wake up during the night, the electric heaters thermostat is moved up and I know it's not me!

30 years here and I'M THE WOMAN. I can guarantee, 99.9% of the time we ARE right. That single time the husband is right is when we have a hard time relinquishing.

He never reads a manual. I'm in charge of the camper and the tow vehicle, so there's no arguments there. He doesn't drive the truck or step foot inside the camper. He knows, that's the '100% zone.' :nodding:

As far a manuals, who needs manuals. We know it it all. It may be wrong, but we know it all and we are always right, in our mind anyway :p The pattern today is no manual comes with most of the stuff. You have to print one out after wallowing thru a variety of similar models on a dedicated webpage for the brand. That creates another issue on its own. They may or may not be up to date and then of course the ink runs out and the print greys out about half the way thru the print job.

This happened to me. We were camping along the Texas coast couple years ago where we like to take the bay boat out and fish. Our dachshund stays in the camper during the day while we fish. I had installed a Microair WiFi thermostat and one benefit is I can check in the temp in the camper while we’re fishing and make sure our dachshund doesn’t turn into a hot dog. We woke up a little late one morning, got ready quickly and headed out for a day on the water. At 10 am or so I checked the temp in the camper and it was 80 while the thermostat was set to 74. I was obviously concerned but kept fishing. Checked about 30 minutes later and it was 83 in the camper. We decided to head in as we were about 30 minutes from the boat ramp and still had to load the boat. By the time we got back to the camper it was 85 inside (thermostat still set at 74). I felt the air coming out of the vents and it was cold. That’s when I heard it. The bathroom entrance fan running. 🤦. Those bathroom fans will pull out cold air faster than the AC’s can cool the camper. At least it did in ours. Lesson learned!

My wife and I are always on the opposite side of issues. I don't want to say she is always right. But she is most the time.

I have searched all over the internet for the manual on my wife. I am sure it is out there and will help. I still have not been able to find it.

Let me help you out. This comes in all languages . Pick one that you think she may understand and go for it. She will come around in short order and see it your way, even if its just a few more times. :sneaky:

It appears most of you guys didn't get the memo. You need to train the woman during the first couple years of marriage and life will be much easier for you.

Married 43 years and counting, and we get along beautifully. ;)

25 years together, most of that married. Trust me, it's in the contract... somewhere... still looking for it...

And I can't believe I'm the first one to say it here... Happy wife, happy life!!

Oops, it's 26 years!!
