I have a 2013 Jayco JayFlight 26BH , travel trailer, I am just wondering if there is any thoughts about replacing the A/C roof seal, it is not leaking but just wondering if this should be done as a preventative maintenance?? Thanks for your input

I never have done anything other than keep the roof cleaned and sealed, but was wondering about that seal, I probably should try to replace it soon, thanks

I have never replaced one or needed to. I do slightly snug the small bolts down below if they are loose. My current rig is 14 years old.
They are readily available and there are many YT videos showing the procedure but I always have believed that if it ain't broke, why fix it?

I check our mounting bolts every spring as they do loosen up from vibration over time. The torque spec for our Coleman is 40-to-50-inch lbs. I set my wrench to 45. I have a yellow mark on the inside to indicate the proper seal compression. You don't want to over torque it. Have never needed to replace the seal yet.

Inspect it carefully on all 4sides for any drip marks ( like on mine) that I caught just in time. That loose bolt took just 3,00 miles to work it’s way down

I watched a video from a large diesel pusher repair facility down south, and they placed instruments inside a 45' diesel pusher with air bag suspension and drove around for a while. The outcome was that the instruments recorded a 7.1 on the Richter Scale. That's a serious "rolling earthquake". I would imagine it would be worse from a spring suspension RV. No wonder things like the A/C and everything else shake loose.

 wow.
