I will be in San Antonio this week......HOT. Would like thoughts on running a/c. I will be out of trailer all day, back at night. Is it best to leave a/c running all day while gone, or turn off when I am gone?

Just depends on whose paying the electric bill.

lefoster, If the electric is included in the campground site rental, Then yes!....run,run,run,
You won't hurt that unit.

What we have learned on running ours was that you can keep it cool if you set the thermostat where you are comfortable all day but if you let it get hot by not running it that it was impossible to get it cooled back down that evening.

Same floor plan as our Jay Flight. Just leave the A/C on, and it'll shut down when it reaches the t-stat setting, and start back up when it needs it.

AC systems are designed to run continuously. In fact, it's far better for their life expectancy than starting and stopping all the time. That's why you should never install a larger than needed AC unit in your home. It won't get the moisture out cause it's starting and stopping more often. It won't last as long because it's starting more often and that is the hardest thing for any electronic part to do. Electrical surges are hard on electronics and motors. And it won't cool as well. A smaller system that runs longer will cost less in the long run and work better.

Sorry...I do get carried away with this subject... living in Arizona for the 40 plus years...

Florida summer nights I balance out my ac and furnace to keep the ac running and remove the humidity.
