Whenever we camped with no hookups we always used an inverter to power the camper outside of genny hours. I had a 300w psw hooked directly to my batteries and then would plug the camper into the inverter. Then I’d manually unplug the camper from the inverter and plug it into the genny tonchsrge the batteries.

We had no issues doing this and would also turn off the converter when the inverter was powering the camper.

Is there a way to mount the inverter inside our 26rls.

I have a 2000 watt Renogy inverter and its mounted under the overhang of my bed support on the upright of the bed support storage. I then connect the inverter off of the three surface lugs using 10-3 gauge to a range plug in a receptacle box in the storage compartment. Then i just run my camper cable from the side of the normal plug in area up thru a compartment and plug up thru a slotted door to the plug.

I have a turn on and turn off switch too on my inverter when not in use during the day, if I am hooked up to any generator. Of course you will need to turn off the converter on your fuse and power box when you are plugged in since you will be powering the converter with electric generated by the inverter off the batteries , which does nothing but further drain your batteries when it runs constantly.
