I can not find air filters on this camper. Maybe previous owner took them out. Are they supposed to be in these two returns on ceiling? I’m cleaning coils today and wanted to make sure filters were clean but I’m not finding any. Our old 2002 Jayco had one big square on ceiling with black mesh filter.

that is the air filter holder. you need the cover and the filter media. You can buy the Window AC filter material and cut to fit.

Omfg!! A squirrel must have been living in the ceiling. The returns are full of turds! I wanna cry but I’m gonna vacuum all vents i can. Whyyy did we buy this camper??? Kicking myself! It’ll be like new once we’re done tho!

I bought some cut to fit green stuff at Walmart. Old camper was like black mesh. May still have some of black stuff. I have covers i took those off before took pic. So just put filter between cover and what’s on ceiling? Ty! Gotta vacuum out all turds🤮

I would say MICE or Pack Rat. You need to inspect the inside of the camper as well. Open all the drawers/under sinks and look behind them too. Be sure to check the pass thru/basement storage area as well. Open any panels you can and look behind to ensure there are no more turds and or nests.

Whatever was in the AC vents probably made it inside the camper as well.

They may have removed the filters to increase airflow for better cooling. But yes, the filter media sits on the cover and the cover snaps into the part on the ceiling.

Simple sponge that can be purchased at a hardware store and cut to fit.
MICE - BOBCAT PEE in small sawdust containers (works great) and PEPPERMINT OIL on cotton balls (works great). Been using for 5 years cleared out what few mice we had from a field that was next to a jayco dealer 5 years ago when in warranty. They somehow sniffed out a K-pod in the pantry then. Can bait them in a plastic trash can (no liner) - can't get out. They will eat your wiring (we were lucky).
