Greetings all!

After lots of deliberation, I signed the papers today on a 2013 White Hawk 28DSBH!
It is sporting the Customer Value Pkg-13, Hide-a-Bed, TV, Aluminum Rims, Power Jack, and Power Awning. White Hawk.jpg

congrats! very nice!
now you only need to ge a JOF sticker to go with it ;)

We are picking it up on February 12th, Lincoln's Birthday! It is still very snowy here, but we are hoping for an early Spring!
I can't wait until the season gets underway!

And here she is...

Delivery went very well. We did the walk through on February 12th and brought it to our storage yard on the 13th. The folks at Buffalo RV have been great to work with, and I would recommend them without reservation.

Now the trip planning begins in earnest... Route 66 and the Grand Canyon this Spring!

Congrats on pickup of trailer, nice Avvy, now just have to wait 2 months for the snow to stop flying up here in NY. We are over in Rochester and got our Jayco last year. Good luck and enjoy.

Hi Crabman,
Yes, Buffalo RV is an RV Direct Dealer. I had requested an online quote, but I kept it in my "back pocket", so to speak. I made my deal with a well recommended sales associate, and I was able to bundle in some of the extras that I wanted. Electric Tongue Jack, Generator, Brake Controller, etc.
I think we both did OK on the deal. The dealership is also only about 20 miles from home, and I want a good relationship as this is my first trailer.

Hey there, Just wondering how everything's going with the new trailer? We are still waiting for ours, but I hear it's waiting to be shipped from Indiana. How did it tow? Have you gone out it it yet? Also, do you have any mods planned? (ladder for bunk)

So far, everything seems to be going fine! I just picked the trailer up from BuffaloRV. When it was delivered, there was a scuff on a piece of trim. They ordered the part, and fixed it as promised. The Service Department was very easy to deal with!

We are slowly getting the trailer fitted out. I have been a boater and camper for many years, but it is still like outfitting a second home! Linens, sheets, dishes, pots and pans, the list goes on and on! I always keep an eye on weight, so I keep looking at things that are lighter weight and can multi-task.

I did get... the grill! I was looking for something that was versatile, and I bought "The Volcano Grill". So far, I am VERY impressed. It is collapsible, and can cook using wood, charcoal, or propane. It will hold my 12" Deep Lodge Dutch Oven, and has a fabric "hood" that will let it function as a convection oven. It also handles a wok well, too. It is really designed to be efficient. It heats the dutch oven to 350 using 14 charcoal briquets, and can be used on a plastic folding table! It is really nifty!

I have not figured out the bunk bed ladder yet. The boys Bunk Bed ladder at home is a good height, but it too wide and heavy. I may look at the aluminum one at Camping World, and see how it would work. I'll keep you posted on that one. In the mean time, I am spending the evening lining drawers and shelves! Talk to you soon!
