Tis the season, I guess. Picked it up today. Ordered February 20, 94 days later. Lariat Ultimate, standard diesel, black appearance package (at the insistence of my children), fifth wheel prep plus a few other things. It has 4144 pound payload capacity. I've got a few things to add like a BakFlip bed cover, Sumo Springs and a set of Amp-Research power running boards. The black package for some reason eliminates the power steps from the Ultimate package. Looking forward to our first tow after the 1K break in.

Needs more chrome :). I will never understand today's kids, calling the chrome package "the baby boomer package"

It's growing on me but I've always been a chrome guy, from the 60's, which dates me as a hard core boomer. My kids love it and so does the wife. I've never owned a red truck and every time I would get a new truck I would think I still want red. I had decided I was going to change my order to the chrome package thinking I had time as changes could be made to the order as long as it wasn't scheduled. I had been told 9 months wait. Two days after I decided to change it I got the email from Ford saying it had been scheduled. Too late. 94 days from order to delivery.

Congrats! Wow, man that look nice you have a pretty high payload for it to be that trim level, I love it, but you have to take some more pics of your F350 when you get a chance, can't wait to hear how it tow your Pinnacle I know that it wont be a problem.

A little different look. It came with the fixed running boards, which I tried, but with 2 knee replacements in the past year they were a little higher than was comfortable for me. I had read that the Amp Research Powersteps come out further and lower. I got a set off Amazon and the installation was not that difficult. They do make it much easier for me to get in and out of the truck. I even like the cleaner look better.

Congrats. I ordered a new F-450 Platinum last August. They told me 3-5 months. Here it is almost June the next year and they still don't have a build date for me. I bought a 2022 F-450 to hold me over as they are guessing it will be another year before it's built.

Nice truck! What is the GVWR, is it 12,400 lbs? I'm going to be buying a newer 1 ton, but most likely getting a dually. 3 growing kids and planning on a 16K lbs toy hauler. 4100 lbs of payload is awesome in a SRW and makes me wonder if something like that would suit my needs...

450's seem to be hard to come by. I was told 6 to 9 months when I ordered in February. I was surprised when it was scheduled so quickly. My dealer said he had 47 orders ahead of mine. He thought it was probably the configuration I selected hit the sweet spot. I really wanted a Platinum or King Ranch as our last F350 was a Platinum but was told it would be an even longer wait. With all the features on the Lariat Ultimate I really can't see I'm missing much other than maybe the upgraded seats and fancier trim in the interior. The seats in my Lariat are very comfortable though.

Yes, the GVWR is 12,400. It's only available in an F350, long bed, crew cab, diesel single rear wheel. I've had a couple of duallies, great trucks, but I really prefer driving the single. Even though they are the same length not having to account for the wide hips made a difference, for me anyway. Our Pinnacle has 3100 pounds of hitch weight and my last truck, a 2020 configured the same as this one, pulled it better and smoother than any rig I've ever owned. I've got to get 1K miles on the new one before I can tow with but a solo trip with it next will take care of that.

I agree. They said the Platinum with the HO 6.7 was my issue, yet I see them arriving at dealers on line a lot lately. Why not build one that is actually sold vs one for a dealer's inventory?

Totally agree. The last I heard the HO's were under constraint but that was a few weeks ago. If you have nothing else to do google Long McArthur Ford Youtube. They are a dealer in Salina, Ks and each Tuesday evening do a podcast on Ford products. They put it on Youtube on Wednesday. There's always a segment on scheduling of all the Ford line up and the constraints. The podcast can get a little long but you find the part on the scheduling as the background changes from their office to a wall with the blue Ford logo.

He always says that if your dealer does not have the allocation it will not get scheduled. That might be something you want to ask your dealer if you haven't already.
