I finally got around to adding a second propane tank to my 2010 Jayco 1207. However, when I tried to set it on the frame to align with the bolts holes I found the holes would not align. On closer inspection, I see the propane connection from the camper is not centered in the middle of the camper, but is a few inches right of center. This does not allow the tank to seat on the frame in a way that aligns with the holes. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a particular reason the propane connection is off center or is this the result of shoddy workmanship? Picture attached.

You need a two tank rack What you have now is for a single tank
See attached pics
You would also want to add an auto changeover regulator and mount for it and hoses

If you decide to stay with your present regulator You should still have the correct rack for two bottles. In the firs pic you will see the cross bar at the top this is what holds the bottles in place and also makes it very easy to remove a bottle The threaded rod is where a nount plate would be for the regulator

I wasn't looking to have both bottles hooked up (tethered) but just to carry both with me. Your pics aren't visible to me for some reason.

You can use just one bottle connected But you would better off using a rack that is made for two bottles rather that the one you presently have

I see the images now. However, I'm sure the frame is set up and capable of handling two tanks. There are holes drilled in the framing on both sides to accommodate two tanks. Just can't seem to use the ones on the left. Weird.
