Automatic thread subscription?

How do I turn this off? Anytime I post in a thread it automatically subscribes me to the thead, why would someone want this? Do I have to go into user cp each and every time I post to unsubscribe from every thread I post in??

Try the following:

Go to your "User CP" tab, under "Settings & Options" open "Edit Options". In the "Messaging and Notifications" area look for the "Default Thread Subscription Mode" box and make sure in the drop drown window it says "Do Not Subscribe". Click "Save Changes" at the bottom of the page.

If this doesn't work please report back.
