Hi all,
Just wanted to post this in case anyone is having the same issue. Recently I noticed the LED strip installed along the base of the awning was barely working. Upon inspection I noticed portions of the strip were cracked and discolored. I went ahead and bought a replacement LED strip from Walmart. I made sure to buy a 12V strip since that's the voltage of the existing strip. The strip I bought has 4x wires, black (12v) and red, green, blue. I tied the positive 12v wire into the black wire on the LED strip. I combined the red, green, and blue wires with the negative wire from the trailer and installed the strip onto the side of the trailer. Unfortunately, combining the RGB wires means I only get white light. I couldn't wire in the LED controller that came with the strip because it's integrated with the 120v transformer on the same board. You can also buy a controller on Amazon, but I didn't want to hassle with it.
