We want to replace this with faux copper tin...but I cannot remove it. Tried prying, but it’s almost an inch thick and will-not-budge. Any suggestions?
You could try cut-out wire, it would slide behind the corner and with a back and forth motion it should cut through whatever is holding it to the wall. You can probably find at Home Depot, here is a link to one on Amazon.
X2 on the heat, then try the cut-out wire next. For the heat I would take get a hair dryer. In the middle of the back splash screw in 3 screws in a triangle about 1/4 inch apart (so you can grab all 3 at once). Prior to heating, pull on the 3 screws to see if it moves. Then, apply the heat. You will be able to tell if the heat is melting the glue. Do not try this on an edge as you may damage the covering on the wall. Good luck.
