Banff/Calgary RV Campgrounds

Looking to travel to the Banff/Calgary area later this year. Anyone have any suggestions on RV parks in that area? We prefer to have full hookups, but RV parks with just water and electric will do. Also, any must see places would be appreciated!

Stu I can’t comment about Calgary campgrounds. The link below is for reserving at any National Park including Banff. You will need a National Park pass to camp. Lake Louise is nearby and offers camping as well. I believe, due to a lack of public parking, that Lake Louise is restricting visits; you need to book a bus from Banff

Reservations opened late January and typically sell out fast. They do not reserve 100% of the sites therefore showing up early and waiting for an opening is an option

We stayed at Bow Valley Campground in Canmore a few years ago. I was concerned about taking the coach further towards Banff. So we had Bow Valley for a base and took our toad up to Banff and Lake Louise and beyond. The campground was great, but we would have been fine and wished we had picked a place further north.
We really enjoyed the drive north from Banff towards Jasper. Only got as far as Peyto Lake, the view there was stunning! We would love going up there again, but it's a long way from Florida!

We regularly travel to Calgary with our 5er. Camping there is difficult. We've stayed several times at the Strathmore Ag Campground. It's about 25 miles east of Calgary. Strathmore has all the amenities. There's a self serve weigh station and an RV parts store on the way into Calgary

The last time we were there we ended up at Riverbend Campground in Okotoks. It's about 15 miles south of Calgary. Okotoks has all the amenities
