Battery change over?

Since my battery is old was thinking about changing over to Lithium. I understand that I have to install new convertor for lithium. But is there anything additional that I have to install to protect my truck alternator. My 7-wire connection has a hot wire to trailer.

Or do I just install lead acid again?

The most dry camping(Harvest Host) we do is for one or two nights between stops .

Save your money. Stick with top end AGM or gel. Do you have any solar?
