This probably sounds so silly but the shocks that hold the bed up are fully extended and u can't get them to lower. I unscrewed them. I would like to use them. Any suggestions? Thank you.
One possibility, likely what I would try, is to remove the lift struts, use a nylon ratchet strap and go around the top to bottom of the strut, compress the strut with the ratchet strap, gently release it, reinstall. Also, if this works, try to be gentle when lifting the bed in order to soften the hit on the struts when they reach their endpoint. ~CA

Thank youIf they're similar to ours, they are at least 100 lb shocks. I'd be surprised if they would both lock up extended at the same time, but anything's possible, I guess. If they're mounted at the correct angle (not too shallow) there's not too much left to do but replace them. Opposite from yours, ours became too weak to keep the bed up so we bought new ones a few years ago.
.Glad you figured it out. Hang onto the new ones in case the originals lose their charge over time.
