Bedlift for Jay Flight Baja 183RB

Hello. Looking for advice to make our queen bed easier to lift, and use the storage area underneath.

Looked at various options, but not sure which would work.

Was interested in the Hatchlift product line. It seems that their configuration won't work due to the "T-shape" of the supports under the platform.

Any advice would be welcomed. I simply would like to be able to lift the bed with a bit of help, and be able to prop it open while organizing storage.

Did you ever get some kind of lift installed? I’m looking to do the same in my 2024 183RBW. Bought a flip up RV table leg to hold it (not installed yet) but want pistons to help lift. Not sure how I’d mount them.

Not exactly sure how the bed is configured in your trailer, but here is one way alot of people are setting theirs up…

Mine looks like that but no longer works well becuase I changed to a memory foam mattress that is heavier. Now I am looking at an electric lift to help to air lifts do the job. And because I don't have enough hands to hold it up while getting something as under the bed is full of stuff we use at campsites.

What # are those struts? I was told to try 50# struts and when I went to close it, the whole platform shot off the wall at me. Bad angle or too much #?

Struts on ours are 100# and 20”. You may have to play around with the location and angle. Tip, try to get the front ball mount lower than the back mount when it is closed, this will help to hold it down.
