Thanks Tom. He’s like a kid in a candy store now, and I have another receiver hitch insert for my other trailers. Win win for both of us. Just so happens the stain I had left over from my stuff matched his. Made life easy.

Great deal for him. What a waste of useful space to not install a mirror with storage behind it!

Thanks for the photos, I wonder if your steps are a different design. When I measured mine today, the 1st step, when stored, actually protrudes about an inch lower than the frame where you welded your rack. When I look at the photo, I just am not sure if your rack surface is actually lower. Really appreciate your descriptions, I will have mine complete this weekend.

Merry Christmas from the natural gas fields of west Louisiana. Wife’s working too. Kids are with my parents. Gotta pay for the presents.

Merry Christmas to you and yours John!

And many thanks for the contributions you have made to this base!

So, here’s a few things I got for Christmas. I can say I’ve waited long enough. I was good this year, or last year I guess, and Santa Wife and other ken folks hooked me up. Remember the inverter mount in the pass through I posted way back when? Now, I have no idea when I’ll have time to install all of this, but I’ll post pictures as usual when I do. No need to run my genset to run fridge in the cooler months after this is installed. In the summer, genset and AC are on, so didn’t need inverter.

I also got some diy mud flaps from duraflap to match my trucks. Chrome weights, ornaments etc. Will post that as well.

Stay tuned.

Thanks Tom. Hadn’t had camper out of the shop in at least 4 months plus I think. But, I still sit in the shop, think, dream of what’s next. So as of now, inverter, mud flaps, new shoe rack and coffee maker table to replace the shoe rack I built, then aluminum skylights to replace the blacked out plastic ones.

I only get 2 days off at a time, so divide that between 3 kids, Wife and shop, and it gives you an idea of how quick it’ll get done. Either way, the forum friends are the first to see what I do, even before the wife most times.

Great stuff. I will be modifying our bed as well. I do have a general question. How deep are you screwing into the outside walls?
