While loading up for this wkds 1st camping trip in the new 22FB, I noticed the drain pipe cap leaking. We just treated the black tank yesterday as instructed and it's been leaking while sitting in the barn last night as well. I checked the T-handle to make sure it was good and seated, it kinda has me concerned! Any ideas????

I foregot to mention, TT has the thermal pkg so I can't see anything underneath.

It sounds like the valve is not seated properly. It could be from construction debri when the holes were drilled for fittings in the tank. I think I would have a 5 gal bucket handy for when you pull the cap off.

Good idea clutch, I sure wouldn't want an episode of RV (Robin Williams LOL) scene on my first poopoo dump! Thanks for your input!

You may have a piece of debris not letting the valve blade fully seat. I had your symptom once - dumped the tank, cleaned out w/ lots of water and a wand down the toilet, backflushed w/ my Flush King, and that seemed to take care of the issue. I always now put a bucket under the pipe end when removing the cap just in case

I was thinking about leaving the cap off while at camp with a bucket under it so I can monitor the leakage. I wonder if that would catch the campsite host attention? Now the flush is a good point mikefos, I will definetely give that a shot!

i bought and use one of these at the connection between the abs pipe and the cap. it can save you, if you can see it's there.
