Brand new to the group and camper life

Hi all...I'm brand new to all of this. My wife and I moved to upstate NY a couple years ago and for the last couple years, buying a camper was something we had been kicking around. We have three kids, all older (18/15/12), and we just made the leap and got a 197MB a couple weeks ago. Unfortunately we won't be using it this season, so winterizing will be my first lesson, but I am beyond excited about everything this will open up for us.

I've looked around some and there is so much experience here - I know I'll need the help so hopefully I'll be able to pay it forward someday!

Welcome from Ct. congratulations on your new camper. This time last year I brought mine home and had the same scenario; no using it, just winterizing. There are a lot of YouTube videos about how to do it and a few ways to get it done. In the end I opted for simply running out my water lines until they were dry, opening up all low point drains, emptying then bypassing water heater, then running pink antifreeze through all the lines via the tube found on the water pump. Don’t forget the outside shower and any exterior ports that have running water. Then dump some antifreeze in all the sink drains/shower drain and toilet bowl.
