We've always lived in subdivisions and did camping as a diversion. I changed jobs and states but this time we bought a house on 11 acres. During the transition we lived in a 24' camper for 4 months then upgraded to a 5th wheel for another 5 months while house hunting and remodeling after we bought our place. We decided we didn't need to go camping because we were really enjoying everything about living here. We sold the 5th wheel and F250 tow vehicle. Now, it's two years later and out for a Saturday drive. We passed a camper dealer and I asked my wife if she wanted to look at campers "just for fun". She did. A 19 year old salesboy promptly greeted us. I told him we were just looking and weren't going to buy. I told him if any actual customer drove up to please leave us and try to earn some money. But.....we told him we are generally attracted like 24' bunkhouse models. He had 3 or 4 inexpensive units and showed them. My wife really liked the very clean 2012 x213 with the rear slide. We bought it on Monday.

Welcome to the Forum from Western New York State! Congratulations on the Jayco! There have been thousands of campers sold to those "just looking", and we are members of that club, also. More than once, but don't tell anyone!

Welcome aboard, and back to camping!

I think if I lived on a bunch of acres and especially if it had good water access I would struggle with keeping a camper. However, I do like to use ours as a mobile hotel, and travel to scenic places. :campfire:
