Camping in St Louis

We stayed in the park below on our way to California 8 years ago and it was ok and fairly inexpensive. Had elec and water.
Campus RV Park
500 W. Pacific
Independence, MO 64050
816/254-1815

How near is near?
Koa in Pacific, Mo. Near 6 flags and route 66 st park. About 20 minutes to downtown.
Babler state park in west stl county. Good luck with a reservation.
Robertsville st park, about 30 min from downtown.
Koa in granite city, il. Located in an industrial park.
Jellystone park, next to 6 flags.
A lot or our state parks offer affordable camping.
A majority of dept of conservation areas in the state offer free boondocking..
They closed the "campground" in downtown and converted it to a lot full of tiny homes for the homeless.
Just saw you are in st louis.
Hawn state park is dw's favorite. I like the trout parks.
St. Francis st park is nice .
We camp and float a lot at ozark outdoors in Bourbon.
Across the river is Onondaga st park and cave.
Just sw of st louis is over a dozen float outfitters/campgrounds.
If you can get a reservation at echo bluff st park, you should go buy a lottery ticket.

Meramec Caverns. Not the state park. Right next to the cave on the river. Electric, water, dump station.
What kind of camping do you prefer?
There are 330 conservation areas in Missouri that allow camping for free.

My wife and I stay at Sundermeier RV Park every time we go through St Louis. It is an easy walk (or quick drive, if you want) to the St. Charles Historic District where they have several shops and restaurants. It is really easy to get in and out from 310. Hope this helps.
