You might consider what @jasum mentioned. I don't have wet bolts (TorFlex suspension) but remember an article (probably Trailer Life) about installing a wet-bolt kit where they installed the middle bolts "facing" in instead of out to make access for greasing easier. If your suspension geometry is particularly tight, this might be easier than a few attempts at repositioning until you get it right.
I don't think that bolt orientation should have any effect on performance, but you might want to check with the manufacturer to be certain.
