Hi All,
We have a 2006 Seneca 35GS, our first RV and we're replacing all the flooring. There is carpet that goes under the sleeper sofa on the kitchen slide and was wondering if that needs to stay under there? Right now I have about an inch of carpet that sticks out from under the slide when its out, that I have not cut. Is the carpet necessary for proper slide operation? I was going to hold that in place with a metal transition piece and place the new floor under the transition as well.
Need advice as I don't want to mess with slide movement. Or can I cut it back as far as my knife will reach?

Thanks,
Matt
