We noticed on our 2012 22fb that the string that runs through both ends of the blinds is fraying really bad on two blinds. Has anyone ever restrung one of these? I sure hate to take TT to dealer during season over some stupid strings....

Thanks
KC

I have restrung many of them. Get proficient at it cause as long as you have them, they will need repairs. There are loads of info on doing the job yourself on the web. Ask away for any specifics.

I am assuming you mean Day/night shades?

Yes on the day/night shades norty1. It's good to know it's an easy task.

Here's some simple questions:
what kind of string did you use and where did ya get it?

1.4 mm can be purchased on the web or locally at a blind store. Some Walmarts have it. Make sure of the size. It matters in this case.

I have a stringing diagram that I will post. Use a match to bone the broken string to the new one and gently work it thru the various holes, then terminate it at the top like the old one is terminated.

It is tedious work, lay it out on a flat surface and remember how it comes apart.

Would you please attach that to this forum, I'm not a member of myrvtalk.

Thank You!!!

Thanks norty1! You were right, there's gobs of info out there on repairs. I stumbled across a youtube video of a guy repairing his RV shade, a four stringer!
