I have been searching far and wide for instructions or tips on how to clean the evaporator coils on my Mach 8. This is a ducted 15,000 btu heat pump in my Northpoint LR. There is no access from the ceiling. I can remove the plastic cover from the evap coils but my concern is how to clean the coils without debris falling down into the ductwork. All of the Youtube videos show how to clean evap coils with access to the ceiling. They show laying a tarp under the opening of the unit. Appreciate any help.

Take the outside cover off and there is another cover for the evaporator coil. Fold up a towel under it. Get some Foam Coil Cleaner and a plastic spray bottle from Lowe's or Home Depot. Spray and let sit then spray some water on it from the spray bottle slowly and most of it will just drain out. I use the same cleaner on the condenser coil and a water hose on low.
