Ok, I’ve had it with the Lino curling up on the LR/DR slide on the 28.5RSTS. I’m sure I’m not alone. Looking for a solution before I start cutting it when we are in it next week. Carpet tape isn’t good as it gets sticky, a runner rug doesn’t keep it flat enough. Help!

I bought a floor runner and placed it on the end of the slide floor. Works for me. Look on Amazon.

What Josh the RV Nerd said, once you open the slide and it warms up ot will lay back down.

So I tried several different ways to get it to lay down. Slide was open for 3 months in Fl and the floor never layed flat The dealer did me no favor by cutting it shorter as they thought the curling was caused by hitting the island when the slide was closed. That only made the floor stick straight out instead of curling up. We wound up putting a piece of 1 inch wide Velcro under the end of the flap and on the floor. it now lays flat the only caveat is closing the slide is almost a 2 person job making sure the Velcro is not fastened when we start to retract the slide. Works well for us - ymmv

Negative!!!

I even tried keeping weights on it while in storage and as soon as I remove the weights the curling starts again. Poor design and a trip hazard.

X2.
I used a heat gun to try and soften it and then put weights on it while open - Didn’t work
I curled it under when the slide was closed in storage -
Didn’t work
The Velcro worked better than anything else I’ve tried so far

We may have to do that, we’ve tried several things that haven’t worked. Carpet tape was close but when you leave, it becomes a sticky mess. Thanks

Good luck, ours has been that way from day 1. The new campers don't have that issue.I guess they have heard enough from customers. Brinkley was the first I saw with the smooth edge, but I noticed at the Tampa show that Jayco had joined the 21st century

Too little, too late for us. Wonder if they would replace the lino on that slide?

Our dealer offered to do that under warranty, but said it would do the same as the old one. Obviously they have learned something new these days as the new ones don't do that

In the RV this week so I thought I’d share some photos of the floor with Velcro strips
Note that the dealer trimmed several inches off so my “flap” is not as long anymore. It doesn’t lay completely flat because of that but it’s a lot better than anything else we tried. And like life in general DW is ok with it so I’m ok with it

Not really. I start at one end wife starts at the other and we slide our hands under it a pull it up meeting in the middle. Then one of us hits the slide retract button. Once it moves an inch or two you can just let it go.

Go to Lowe’s get a piece of house vinyl trim edging , the vinyl on floor is to short so it cannot lay flat, put it on with the slots up though it’s not perfect but an amazing improvement and the clay color is almost invisible!
