Dash Cover Issue

The dash cover on my 2018 Alante 26X is separating from the main console panel. See attached photo.

A mobile repair guy looked at it and said that Jayco glues bolts onto the cover and over time they pull off. He suggested just leaving it be. I thought about getting a carpet cover for it to protect from the sun. That would have the additional benefit of my not seeing the gap.

Given how this is designed, I suspect its a common issue.

Any suggestions? Thoughts on just leaving this alone? Is there a potential for further damage if I don’t repair it?

Hello. I have a 2018 31R and I have had similar issues. Most often the nuts have loosened from the studs. If you remove the four black screws holding the console in you can easily access them to tighten them - you'll need a 7/16 wrench or 1/4" drive ratchet set. If the stud did separate from the top part of the dash you can use Gorilla two part epoxy to re-secure the stud to the dash panel.
