De-winterize...

Being from S.W. Ohio I'm anxious to de-winterize the Class C. What are your thoughts, is it to early.?

I’m from Mexico d Missouri and did mine last week.
I love ok at the 7 day forecast to make my decision each year. Usually around early April for me.

This was my first winter with an RV but I would say it's fine if you don't think you'll have freezing temperatures again. I'm in central Vermont and I took ours in yesterday (April 19) to get de-winterized and have a few service repairs I wanted done.

This week, April the 15th to be exact, I flushed out the antifreeze and sanitized the water system. Good to go.....

As long as the forecast doesn't call for under 32 degrees for several hours why not. It takes a while to freeze and low temps to do it.

But alternatively, a sudden change and all you would need to do is get out the compressor and run 40 psi through all the pipes and faucets. Less than 20 minutes for me, takes longer fro the fresh water tank to drain if it was full.

I also do it with a dollop of pink in each drain.

An additional task if fall is to go back a few hours later and re run the blowout in case water settled in a line some where but I just leave the compressor set up and go out later in the same day so no extra work.

At 8,000 feet here in the Rocky Mountains, I usually wait until mid May. We just had 6” of snow yesterday. Mountain weather can throw curve balls at any time.

Colorado weather seems like all curve balls.
Yesterday cold and snow, today mid 60s and sunny.
Tomorrow, 70s...

If you dewinterize and the temps dip below freezing at night but above during the day you should be fine. I dewinterized a week or two back and we'll probably have a freeze or two until May, but it takes a while for freezing weather to do any real damage.

Back up Camera

I have a 2017 Jayco GreyHawk. The back up camera died. I found a replacement on line. The replacement camera sucks, big time. Anyone have suggestions for a better camera that I can mount to the back without running a bunch of wires?

The original one was wired, right?
And you want to switch to wireless?

If so, I gotta ask why?
Why not just get a wired camera that's as good as the original one was?

Dewinterize

If you pay to have it winterized, I can understand questioning the de-winterization. I winterized ours 4 times this winter . The time and cost to re-pink is well worth taking a trip.

Sure dewinterize. The worst of the cold is gone most of populated areas. If a freak really cold snap comes along (I don't worry about a couple of degrees below freezing), just plug in a 60-100 watt lightbulb (if you still have one hanging around) inside the camper overnight and open doors to cabinets with any pipes, or you can use a small electric heater but that uses more power.
