Are there any ladies here that have made decorative mods to their Jaycos that would like to share and discuss them? Guys too, if it interests you. (Probably most guys here will roll their eyes, but you never know!)

I have done a couple of mods that have really spruced ours up and its always nice to connect with others who enjoy doing the same. Give it some flair!

There are several facebook groups for interior ideas, but I thought maybe there were Jayco-only people not on facebook that would be interested.

I couldn't find a forum thread or group here just for interiors. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong spot...?

Haha, decorative yet functional! With our TT, I need to make sure everything is packed away, but here are a couple things: [1] WorldMarket (Cost+) baskets ~ at the door to hold wallets and keys and by the TV to hold controls; [2] colorful fish windsocks to hang outside on the towel rack so DH doesn't run into it; [3] Fridge magnets to remember our camp locations.

We don't have ours yet, but I was delighted to find out that the 'fridge doors are magnetic, 'cause I'm a 'fridge magnet gal, too. We have a 2016 23MRB on order, and I'm going to wait till I see the Actual Colors of the upholstery and all - but when we know that, we'll probably get a small sort of Oriental-style rug for the area in front of the sofa. We currently have a 10' runner in our FR PUP, and it won't work in the new trailer.

That's funny Quahog, I have had a few conversations with her already! I'm hoping she'll see this thread too!

This is very interesting! I am a new owner of a 2013 Jayco 26BH TT. I am afraid to do too much for fear of messing something up. But one of the first things I noticed was how the "wardrobe" cabnets on each side of the bed had so much wasted space. I don't have hanging clothes when I camp. I wanted to put shelves in those cabinets. I found some plastic shelves at Lowes that fit that cabinet perfect. One set had enough shelves in it for both cabinets. It was a very easy cheap fix for me and if I want it back to the original cabinets I can just take the plastic shelves out.

The other thing I did was make "fun" sheets for the bunk beds. I just took a twin size sheet and seamed it up to make a giant slip cover (like a giant pillow case) for the bunk mattresses. The kids picked the sheets out and we got matching pillow cases. It really brightened things up. A lot cheaper than buying sheets that fit from a camping store. They are not easy to change but they do stay on!

Were 6 posts in and no ideas yet so I guess I'll start the challenge. HELP ME PLEASE!!!

All kidding aside, after 2 years I still don't know where to start with mine. It looks Jayco( not that there's anything wrong with it) but I don't have what it takes to add that special touch.

Sorry I don't have any pictures but the DW had me put on these sticky graphics things above the slide that looked like a tree branch with leaves. I have to admit, it did look pretty cool. We also used those 3M Command hooks for pictures and what not... they stay on well and come off without issue.

Regarding the plastic shelves from Lowes, could you post a link for the rest of us? Thanks!

Tunce, what about recovering the cornices and new curtains? I just did mine in the bedroom and love it! It made a big difference with a little bit of work and not much money. I'll go take a few pics and post so you see what I mean. I'm not the best sewing person, but they came out pretty nice. Also I put up some of those Smart Tiles in the kitchen. And I took down the border. Maybe I should create a group here if that would allow us to "talk" easier and post pics easier?

Re Mods

I see that a lot of us are getting new TTs nowish, and would like to remind us all to take before pix ... before we do any modifications, so we can better show off the changes we make. Even if your unit's not new, take a pic before you start new work on it.

]Not only can you share the mods with us on the Forum, but you can also get prints and put them in a little album, to keep with the TT to show to others you meet in person, and to pass along to any next owner, if you ever sell/trade your unit. There have been some pretty neat mods here, so let's get 'em on the record!

shades and light s

I change out those white lights with some upgrades and replaced the day night shades. Bought a kitchen island.

Here are the cornices that I just finished up. I still have to sew the pillows and a few other touches above the bed.

Crablad, I love that island! Everyone seems to have a love/hate relationship with the day-night shades.

I really like the job you've done and I think it's time
for me to step back and take a look around and see what colors might work.
