My Girard on demand water heater is giving me settings hotter than the thermostat is set. Girard asked me if I have descaled the water system....umm no. Looking for recommendations on descaling the plumbing system.

Will vinegar cut it or is there a commercial product that will do a better job?

2015 JAYCO Precept and never descaled the water lines.

Thanks in advance for your advice.

God bless!

What Grumpy said! If you have a water filter canister, then take out the filter, and put vinegar into it. Make sure water is not in bypass, and turn on the hot water. As soon as you smell vinegar, turn the water off, and let it set for a couple hours. Then flush it out and test it.
Or you can have the pump pull in a 50/50 solution with hot water turned on in a sink.
