Yep. I use this. Works well.

Definitely. And I use it to lock the hitch in the cradle on the tongue when it's off the truck.
 
Nope, when its on the truck its a cotter pin.

When we're camping, I slide the hitch into the trailer receiver and I do have locking pin for that.
 
oh ya. between my hensley stinger and my curt adjustable hitch for are about 250 bucks a piece. I don't like my stuff growing legs and walking away. 20 bucks for a lock is cheap insurance to sway a lazy thief.
